Notpla and ID Geneve announce the launch of a home-compostable packaging solution for the newest ID Genève Collection, Circular S. The watchbox is made from seaweed biomass which is 100% home compostable and biodegradable.
Both pioneers in sustainability within different industries, ID Genève and Notpla met for the first time at the Change Now summit this year. Sharing similar values on innovation, a collaboration to replace single-use plastic packaging in the watchmaking industry was a meaningful step.
This advanced packaging solution has been built to perform, not to last. The ID Geneve box made from Notpla Rigid easily biodegrades in nature in just 4-6 weeks without the need for industrial composting or special conditions.
This natural packaging solution enhances ID Geneve’s circular approach to producing luxury watches. Both companies wish this example could inspire more companies to adopt innovative and sustainable packaging in the future.
